As you know, the Montreal Canadiens faced the Islanders yesterday, in New York, and won.
Among the elements that attracted attention before the game, we noted the presence, in person, of Avalanche GM Joe Sakic, who came to spy on Habs and Islanders players.
Recall that Sakic surprisingly publicly revealed the two elements that he would be ready to trade, for the right player, for the right deal.
Justin Barron and a 2023 first round pick.
If we rely on what analysts François Gagnon and Guy Boucher said, Sakic is currently looking for grit.
For the Habs, there are obviously Ben Chiarot and Artturi Lehkonen, who have already been linked to Colorado earlier this week. Among the Islanders of Lou Lamoriello, the experts possibly speak of Cal Clutterbuck.
It will be interesting to watch over the next few days, but there definitely seems to be a potential deal here between Joe Sakic and Kent Hughes.
What kind of deal would you see closing?
