After all the rumors and speculation, the verdict is in on defenseman Kris Letang's future in the NHL:
He has just signed a 6 year contract, worth 36.6 million per season, with the Pittsburgh Penguins (6.1 million per year)
Letang, 35 years old, just signed for six more seasons, wow! He has 68 points in 78 games.
Clearly, it helps the Penguins in the short term because he lowered his AAV, but it could hurt in the long term. It will be interesting to follow over the next few years.
More details to follow!
