The second round of the National Hockey League playoffs is officially underway and we've already seen a lot of intensity.
Some have even gone overboard.
This is the case of defenseman Ben Chiarot, former Montreal Canadiens and now with the Florida Panthers.
Last night, in Game 1 of the second round series between the Lightning and Panthers, Chiarot took out his frustration on Ross Colton.
Watch the clip here:
Many were calling for a suspension, such as the one handed out to Darnell Nurse of the Oilers.
The verdict just came in:
"Ben Chiarot was fined $5,000, the maximum allowed under the CBA, for headbutting Tampa Bay's Ross Colton." - NHL Department of Player Safety
So Chiarot avoids suspension, unlike Nurse.
