As reported by reporter John Lu (TSN), to the surprise of many, it is Samuel Montembeault (not Carey Price) who is in front of the starting net today at the Habs morning practice.
Montembeault performs the #1 goalie routine during morning optional practice. - John Lu
That means he'll be the Habs' starting goalie tonight against the Philadelphia Foes, live from the Bell Centre.
We're still waiting for final confirmation from Martin St-Louis, but since the beginning of the season, whenever a goaltender does the starting routine (on the morning of the game) - and gets shots from goaltending coach Eric Raymond - that same goaltender has always been the one to get the start on the night.
Samuel Montembeault will be the starter against the Flyers.
More details to follow!
