While many fans are beginning to wonder and worry about a turnaround in the case of Martin St-Louis' return to the Montreal Canadiens' bench, informant Renaud Lavoie has just given us some fresh news:
"We should not interpret the fact that Martin St-Louis has not yet signed his contract with the Canadiens as if there was sand in the gears. It will be resolved eventually. More a question of 'timing' that explains the fact that it's not settled yet." - Renaud Lavoie
Excellent news! Remember that more than a month ago, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes mentioned that an announcement was imminent and that Martin St-Louis' new contract (with the CH) would obviously be settled in the week or days following the end-of-season review.
Since then, several weeks (more than a month) have passed and we still have no news and still no announcement.
So now we have an explanation. There is no turnaround in sight and we should still 100% expect Martin St-Louis to sign a new contract with the Montreal organization and be back behind the bench of the Tricolore next season.
More details will follow and who knows? Maybe an announcement!
