All indications are that the future first overall pick of the next draft, Shane Wright, will play in the NHL next season.
His OHL team, the Frontenacs, lost in the second round of the playoffs to the North Bay Battalion in five games.
Wright finished the playoffs with 14 points in 11 games, including three goals. He also won more than 50% of his face-offs. He had a lot of success defensively, having played against the best opposing trios.
Next step for #51: the NHL Combine, where he will have the opportunity to discuss at length with Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes.
