On Thursday, the Colorado Avalanche had their moment in the sun, with the Stanley Cup Parade. Much of the city came out to celebrate the newly crowned champions.
The celebration started fairly early in the day for many Avalanche members and continued well into the night. It wasn't easy for everyone, including Kurtis MacDermid.
The Avalanche defenseman may not remember what happened, but the videos that went viral on Friday will serve as a friendly and hilarious reminder.
Thanks to the Spittin' Chiclets who filmed at the club where the Avalanche players were partying, we have footage of MacDermid, so drunk, dropping the Cup in his hands. The Stanley Cup staff rushed to save the equipment, then the drunken man...
You could say the Cup is having a bad time. It had started on the ice right from the team photo as Nicolas Aube-Kubel fell with the precious trophy.
