Trade Market: Important revelation from Pierre Lebrun and Darren Dreger regarding Josh Anderson

We're at that time of year in the NHL where we're in the last stretch before the trade deadline and there are a lot of trade rumors floating around.

Plus, knowing that teams will want to make trades earlier this year, because of Connor Bedard, it's likely to heat up.

For the Montreal Canadiens, there are some names that are circulating a lot, but we've been hearing about Josh Anderson for a relatively long time.

There's a new one.

Considering the organization's current plan, one has to wonder if it would be brilliant for general manager Kent Hughes to trade Josh Anderson, especially knowing the following.

Anderson, who is 28 years old, could potentially go through what Brendan Gallagher is currently going through. We wouldn't want that, but the possible future injuries are something to consider.

Especially since he has an impressive contract of $5.5M per season valid until 2027.

According to Pierre LeBrun, Kent Hughes doesn't seem to want to trade him, or at least not at this time.

However, in our opinion, Kent Hughes should listen because according to LeBrun, if Anderson became available, there would be an incredible market for him.

According to LeBrun, and according to his colleague Darren Dreger (TSN), Hughes would get at least 10 to 15 calls from other NHL general managers for Anderson.

This is despite a sub-par season with 11 goals and 14 points in 39 games so far. His value would not have dropped in any way.
