Trade alert: one of the biggest trades in history has just been completed and it involves young Everett defenseman Olen Zellweger
In the last few hours in the Western Junior League, we have seen one of the most massive transactions in history.
It was a very unusual trade between the Kamloops Blazers and the Everett Silvertips.
Kamloops has their sights set on the Memorial Cup this season, and they just proved it not so much.
Here is the trade:
To Everett:
Drew Englot, Kaden Hammel, Rylan Pearce, Jack Barker and 10 draft picks
To Kamloops:
The visuals are quite impressive:
Let's just say that for the next few seasons, Kamloops won't have the opportunity to draft many players. Ouch.
On the other hand, as we have seen over the past few weeks at the World Junior Hockey Championship, Zellweger is a very special and talented player.
