The Canadiens' forward is having a modest season with eight goals and ten points in 26 games, but he has a knack for scoring big goals, as was the case Monday night with the tying goal in the third period against the Calgary Flames.
Despite his usefulness and the dimension he brings to the Habs, many experts believe that he could be an excellent trade chip because of his style of play and that he would bring a lot of energy to a team looking for reinforcements on offense.
There has been a lot of talk about Anderson being traded to the Edmonton Oilers and also to the Calgary Flames, but now a reputable tipster has added a third team that would have their eye on the Canadiens' number 17.
Major development, new team interested.
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the New Jersey Devils should be counted among the teams interested in Josh Anderson.
The Devils are one of the biggest surprises in the NHL this season, and the addition of a power forward of his caliber would be quite beneficial in supporting the team's smaller players like Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier.
However, Pagnotta mentioned that it might be difficult for Kent Hughes to trade his forward because of his contract, but more importantly, he might be quite demanding in his requests.
What would you ask the Devils in exchange?
