The trend of the last few days continues as the Ottawa Sens continue to keep a close eye on the Montreal Canadiens players.
Tonight, no less than five Ottawa scouts are in Montreal to attend the game against the San Jose Sharks.
"The Senators are here a lot. Three weeks ago, general manager Pierre Dorion was at the Bell Center. He also went to see the Canadiens in Winnipeg. Are the Senators watching what's going on here? Probably and surely," he said.
- Renaud Lavoie, via TVA Sports
Obviously, it will also allow the Sens to see the excellent Erik Karlsson in action.
"Karlsson and Ottawa, it's a story that is not over even if he is in San Jose," Renaud Lavoie stressed.
This is a file to watch:
"The Ottawa Senators sent five important people to the Bell Centre to watch the Habs-Sharks duel.
I thought they already knew Erik Karlsson, but what do I know? Maybe they are not there to see him at all" (but to see the CH players)
- Eric Engels, Sportsnet
Do you think a deal is brewing between Kent Hughes and Pierre Dorion?
Both general managers have admitted that they are currently on the phone trying to work out potential deals.
