And interestingly, the top three players on Button's list are three defensemen, Owen Power of the Buffalo Sabres, Jake Sanderson of the Ottawa Senators and Simon Edvinsson of the Detroit Red Wings.
Power played his first NHL game on Tuesday night in Toronto and looked very good in his team's 5-2 win over the mighty Maple Leafs. He played close to 20 minutes and had a +2 rating.
What about the Habs?
Button's list also includes two prospects, defenseman Kaiden Guhle at #20 and forward Joshua Roy at #38.
Guhle is ranked sixth among defensemen. Not too shabby considering the top three players on the list are defensemen.
While it's not a surprise to find the Habs' first pick in 2020 among the top prospects, it's a different story for Joshua Roy, who is having the season of his junior career this year with 110 points.
He will definitely be one to watch at the next training camp of the Habs.
