Tyler Toffoli played for the Los Angeles Kings from 2012 to 2020, he was a 2nd round pick of the organization in 2010. Toffoli still owns a home in LA, so that's where his summer training takes place. By the way, I'm glad to hear that Toffoli is skating, since he was playing with a bad groin injury during the last playoffs.
That being said, as my colleague Keven Mawn pointed out yesterday afternoon, Phillip Danault, a former Montreal Canadiens teammate of Toffoli's, was in California this week to meet his new teammates, tour the Kings' facilities and find a new home. A normal routine when a player signs a deal with a new franchise.
By the way, during his visit, Danault had the chance to chat with his former teammate, who was decorated in red, white and blue, which was a bit strange. A former Habs, now a member of the Kings, meeting with a former Kings in Los Angeles, now wearing Habs colors.
Toff works out at the Kings complex, as do other former Kings, players from other teams, and current team members, which we can see regularly during the off-season. In short, let's hope Toffoli is doing well and arrives top shape in September.
