The Russian forward for the Washington Capitals, Alex Ovechkin, didn't comment yesterday on the horrible events currently taking place in Ukraine.
Finally, today, Ovechkin broke the silence for the first time and delivered a clear message:
The Russian asked to "stop this war, please, no more war."
He also added this:
«It's a difficult situation. I have family in Russia and these are scary times." -Alex Ovechkin

«He is my president. But like I said, I'm not into politics, I'm an athlete. I hope it will all be over soon. It's a difficult situation right now for both parties."
