It's pretty rare to see an official kicked out of a hockey game, but when the guy shows up in that condition, there's not much choice.
At a U16 women's hockey game, this official was behaving quite peculiar and was clearly intoxicated. He was just tripping, sliding and struggling to pick up the puck. It's just an ugly scene to watch.
The official was removed from the game, leaving his partner to finish the game solo. In all likelihood, this referee has been suspended and/or banned, but there is no confirmation at this time.
It's also hard to understand why he showed up at the arena in the first place, and why his partner didn't just ask him to go home when he saw him. As a minor hockey volunteer, I am simply stunned!
