We told you about it earlier today, a sequence is currently making the web go round.
With 25 big seconds left in last night's crucial game, and with the Lightning losing by one goal, this happened:
Nikita Kucherov completely abandoned his team, according to many.
According to reporter Joe Smith (The Athletic), we now know a little more about what happened. With 25 seconds left in the game, Kucherov broke his stick and returned to the bench.
When he arrived at the Lightning's bench, the equipment manager was not immediately ready to provide him with a new stick and that's what set Kucherov off. Kucherov threw his gloves directly at the equipment manager.
He then gave up.
"That's what I think, too. Bubble to the brain of the equipment guy, who is normally so on the ball.
Between that, Maroon hitting the referee's chest and Stamkos shooting the puck at the referee, it was a total display of lack of composure from a team you would expect to see." - Nick Murray
You can guess that there are plenty of critics today:
"I still can't get over how big of a baby Kucherov is. Show some respect to your equipment manager, he does so much for the players."
