Starting with Mike Hoffman. Acquired last summer by Marc Bergevin as a free agent, the forward didn't really live up to expectations as he had a very disappointing season with 35 points, including 15 goals, in 67 games.
The most striking thing about him is that he doesn't seem to fit in with the new philosophy implemented by the new management and many experts believe that the number 68 could very well be traded before the start of the next season.
As reported by Gohabsgo.com, it has been reported that some teams have called Kent Hughes about Hoffman and he may very well be on his way out, if the offer is right.
At least that's what an article on The Fourth Period mentioned recently, which also mentioned the other rumors about the Habs.
According to them as well, Hoffman would actually be on his way out of Montreal.
The 32-year-old Hoffman will be in his second year of his contract next season, with a salary of $4.5 million per year, and there is reportedly interest in him across the NHL.
If that's the case, let's just say that the Habs shouldn't wait too long before shipping him off to other countries, because if he had a bad start to the season, his value would only go down and the Habs would be stuck with a hot potato.
What do you think?
Also according to The Fourth Period, it could very well come down to the draft.
