We told you about it the day before yesterday, and you had the opportunity to see it (once again) yesterday, the atmosphere is very disappointing in Florida for the Panthers' playoff games.

Luc Gélinas (RDS) was extremely disappointed with the complete lack of "playoff fever" for the Lightning - Panthers duel and he had a lot to say:

The comparison with the CH-Sabres pre-season game, yay.

Anyway, according to what Miami Herald reporter Barry Jackson reports, the Florida Panthers have specifically asked the National Hockey League and Gary Bettman, to move their two home games.

The goal? To play on a different night than the Miami Heat, the basketball team in the NBA (which is playing some very important games right now and getting a lot of attention in Sunrise)

That way, the Panthers and Heat games would alternate this week and that way, the fans there could be much more numerous and much more involved in the stands, for the NHL games.

They wouldn't have had to choose between hockey and basketball.

In the end, for whatever reason, the NHL didn't or couldn't make that happen. It resulted in the outcome we know.

Reporter Jackson says he really doesn't understand why the NHL couldn't reverse the days of its two Eastern semifinals, to avoid this mess in attendance and atmosphere.
