Anthony Beauvillier finally has a contract in his pocket, at least, it's now official following rumours that it was signed some time ago. Beauvillier had another huge season with 28 points, including 15 goals, in 47 games. But what stands out about "Tito" is his playoff prowess, as he rose to the occasion when the game took another level. He picked up 27 points in 41 playoff games over the past two seasons, which is no small feat!
That said, Lou Lamoriello and his young center have agreed on the terms of a three-year pact, but as for the average salary that Beauvillier will receive annually, it is still unknown. Lamoriello does not do anything like the others... According to a report from The Athletic, the two sides are reported to be shaking hands, but the contract has yet to be signed. Weird? What is Lou waiting for to conclude this and move on?
UPDATE 11:03 a.m. - Beauvillier will therefore pocket an average salary of $4.15 million.
The 24-year-old forward, who many would like to see in the Blue-White-Red jersey, has obtained favourable percentages in terms of expected goals (53.03%) and scoring chances (50.54%) at 5-on-5 last season. The data comes from the advanced stats site Natural Stat Trick.
