Christian Dvorak, who wore the number 18 with the Arizona Coyotes, has opted for the number 28 with the Montreal Canadiens, a number once worn by Eric Desjardins. Pierre Larouche, who scored 50 goals with the Red, White, and Blue during the 1979-80 campaign, also wore number 28 with the Habs.
As soon as he began his career at the National Hockey League level, Dvorak chose the number 18 jersey, having worn the number 10 with the London Knights. But when he arrived, number 10 belonged to Anthony Duclair, and then he stayed with number 18 after the "Duke" left. With the Canadiens, do I need to mention that numbers 10 and 18 are retired?
Guy Lafleur's 10 is on the ceiling of the Bell Centre, as is Senator Serge Savard's 18. Anyway, some thought Dvorak would select Jesperi Kotkaniemi's number 15, but he decided to go 10 + 18, which comes out to 28. Not crazy!
