It's time to take a brief look back at the highly anticipated debut of defenseman Arber Xhekaj last night with the Laval Rocket, and we certainly have some worrying points to note.

Firstly, on the positive side, there's his mother, always very active on social media, who broke the silence by thanking fans for their support towards her son.

Also, there's journalist Arpon Basu, who traveled to Laval to see Arber yesterday, and his conclusion is very clear.

He no longer recognizes Xhekaj in Laval.

This is the main fear and it's what many fans and observers, including Georges Laraque, are loudly denouncing.

Are the Canadiens in the process of "breaking" and distorting Xhekaj?

What do the Habs wanna teach him? To become a defensemen who doesn't hit, doesn't fight and doesn't defend his teammates? Playing good defensively is NOT mutually exclusive to imposing yourself on the ice.
