Over the past few weeks, young Arber Xhekaj has made quite a name for himself, not only with the Montreal Canadiens, but also throughout the league.
It didn't take long!
He is a solid defenseman, with a good skating stroke and good instincts, and he is terrifying on the ice.
The youngster is not afraid to drop down the gloves to defend his teammates, and so far, he could become one of the best in the NHL in this area.
However, he is far from being a simple "strongman". When asked about this in the last few minutes, Xhekaj gave a perfect answer (and he is right):
"I'm not a fighter. I am a hockey player who is capable of fighting"
- Arber Xhekaj
Boom! For those who try to put a simple Goon label on Xhekaj, as many fans and reporters from other NHL teams try to do, well, know that he is much more than that.
Arber Xhekaj is on his way to becoming a solid all-around defenseman, a very good hockey player who brings a lot to the ice. And as a bonus, he knows how to defend his teammates and how to command respect on the ice.
We can't wait to see what's next for him!
When we say that he is the talk of the NHL, here is a proof:
