The Quebec native has officially been called up from the Laval Rocket!
What wonderful and happy news for such an incredible person and teammate. This is exactly the type of reinforcement that benefits a locker room and team culture.
We are extremely happy for Rafaël.
Two changes have been made to the Canadiens' lineup.
All signs point to Michael Pezzetta being back in the stands.
Harvey-Pinard, 26 years old, is a 5-foot-9, 181-pound forward who works extremely hard and was a 7th-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2019 draft.
This season, he has recorded 11 points in 24 games with the Laval Rocket, including four goals, with a -2 rating.
In his NHL career, he has accumulated 31 points in 83 games with the Montreal Canadiens, including 17 goals, with a +3 rating (14 of those goals came in 34 games during the 2022-23 season).
It's worth noting that he missed several weeks at the start of this season, including the entire training camp, due to a serious injury suffered last August.
We are really looking forward to seeing him back in uniform in Montreal.
Harvey-Pinard is the real deal, and I believe he will be a solid complement on Jake Evans' line.
As we mentioned earlier today, Jakub Dobes will start in net vs the Devils tonight and will face former Canadien Jake Allen.
