Unfortunately, we suspected it, but his game is over.

This is what the excellent analyst from RDS has just confirmed.

It's Confirmed: Patrik Laine's Game is Over

Let's recall that Laine left for the locker room with his teammates (as usual) during the first intermission, but he never returned to his team's bench afterward.

The Canadiens organization later announced that it is an upper-body injury for Laine, so fortunately, it has no connection to his knee.

The number 92 forward really took a beating in the first period from his former Columbus Blue Jackets teammates.

Laine, 26 years old, 6-foot-4, and 208 pounds, has accumulated 9 points in 9 games this season, including 8 goals.

For the Montreal Canadiens, losing Laine would be a tough blow, both for the team and the fans.

Since his return to play earlier this month, Patty has been a dominant force with eight goals and a total of nine points in nine games.. He had become the catalyst on the power play, let's hope it isn't too serious.

Details will follow.
