A major announcement has just been made within the Montreal Canadiens organization, and it involves JF Houle.

According to the reputable David Pagnotta, Jean-François Houle has indeed signed a multi-year contract extension with Kent Hughes to remain as the head coach of the Laval Rocket.
What great news!
"Since I'm talking about coaches this morning I'm told that the Montreal Canadiens' AHL affiliate team, the Laval Rocket, has signed a new multi-year contract with head coach JF Houle." - David Pagnotta

So, a major matter has been resolved for Kent Hughes and John Sedgwick, who will now have to find a new assistant coach for Houle following the departure of Kelly Buchberger.
Paul Byron's name continues to circulate for this position, and don't be surprised if he is eventually named as the new assistant to JF Houle.
Do you think this would be a good hire?
We would like to congratulate Jean-François Houle. This is big news for him and it is well deserved.
He may not have had the greatest success in terms of victories with the Laval Rocket, but he has done a masterful job in preparing young players to play with the Montreal Canadiens and in the NHL.
Honestly, this is probably the most important part of his job, and he does it extremely well, as we have seen with Cole Caufield, Arber Xhekaj, Joshua Roy, Jayden Struble, and others.
Bravo, J-F Houle!
