We had a nice surprise in the last few minutes during the press conference of the Canadiens' coach, a first since the departure of Martin St-Louis.

Some journalists have asked for it several times since Saturday (since the departure of Martin St-Louis), and Chantal Machabée as well as the Montreal Canadiens organization have adhered to their request today.

"During the absence of Martin St-Louis, it would be nice to give Alex Burrows the chance to conduct the French-speaking post-game press conferences. Great experience. It would spare us the articles about Trevor Letowski's 'unilingual' conferences." - Louis-Philippe Guy

And well, it happened tonight.

During the post-practice press conference, live from Edmonton, it was not Trevor Letowski who appeared in front of the journalists but Alex Burrows.

It happens at the 19th minute, right here:

Burrows notably spoke about Joshua Roy, whom he said he was impressed by the 200-foot game of the Quebec forward.

Burrows also talked about the preparation for tomorrow's game, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, and the palpable enthusiasm in today's practice, a cornerstone of head coach Martin St-Louis indeed.

It's beautiful to see!
