As we anticipate acquisitions, trades, and signings from Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton this summer, here possibly is the first of many.

See what TVA Sports journalist Nicolas Cloutier has just reported exclusively.

Oliver Kapanen to be added to the Montreal Canadiens lineup soon!

A very interesting acquisition that is about to materialize for the CH.

"European sources I discuss with behind the scenes expect Oliver Kapanen to sign his entry-level contract with the CH over the summer and be present at the next training camp."

"Kapanen completed his military service last summer in Finland.

If he does not secure a spot with the CH, he will go play in Sweden with Timra."

- Nicolas Cloutier

Kapanen, 20 years old, 64th overall pick in 2021 (2nd round) is a right-handed center who is 6 feet tall and weighs 185 pounds.

He had a good 2023-24 season in Finland, and especially, incredible playoffs.

Kapanen scored 14 goals and 34 points in 51 regular season games, but 14 points in 13 playoff games.

He has turned quite a few heads in recent weeks.

Some even qualify him as "the best player in Finland's top league", imagine!

A name to remember and a signing that is likely to be confirmed soon.

Details to follow.
