Major surprise press conference from Kirby Dach: He makes a big statement on a potential return this season
After the usual press briefing by head coach Martin St-Louis, we had a nice surprise.
Kirby Dach came to the podium!
Dach answers questions from journalists
It's happening live from Brossard.
It's really good to see him again for the first time since his serious injury at the very beginning of the campaign.
Kirby was notably questioned about the young Juraj Slafkovsky, his good relationship with Kent Hughes and Martin St-Louis, and he obviously answered questions about his possible return to play before the end of the season.
On the possibility of playing 2-3 games before the end of the season, Dach said the following:
"As a player, you always want to come back as soon as possible and beat the timeline set by the doctors." - Kirby Dach
So, he hasn't closed the door. Interesting!
Dach, 23 years old, 6 feet 4 inches and 217 pounds, has accumulated two points in two games this season, as well as 38 points in 58 games last year (14 goals).
Along with Nick Suzuki, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Cole Caufield, he will be an extremely important player moving forward.
Let's remind you that Dach skated at the Bell Centre for the first time a few days ago:
