Nick Bobrov himself reveals that the Canadiens pulled off a big steal on offense
The Montreal Canadiens just released a very interesting statement, featuring comments from Kent Hughes and Nick Bobrov.
Earlier, we discussed Kent Hughes' remarks regarding Ivan Demidov, but in the article in question, there is also mention of the Canadiens' 21st overall pick in 2024, Michael Hage.
It was quite a moment for the Canadiens live from Las Vegas, as Hage was drafted by the team he idolized in his childhood.
"When I was younger, I always wore number 9 because my father adored Maurice Richard. He would be so proud right now!"
- Michael Hage
It's truly heartwarming to see.
An interesting statement from Nick Bobrov on Michael Hage
In this article, published on the Canadiens' official site, there is indeed an important statement from Nick Bobrov, the co-director of amateur scouting for the Canadiens.
"He was one of the biggest names in the Draft. A player like him, in a normal year, wouldn't have slipped to the 21st spot."
- Bobrov, who believes the Canadiens pulled off a steal with their 21st overall pick
In any case, Nick Bobrov seems to be extremely proud of the selections made by the Canadiens in the first round!
Michael Hage, 18 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 187-pound forward. Last season, he accumulated 75 points, including 33 goals, in 54 games with the Chicago Steel. (4 points in 2 playoff games)
This season, he will be playing in the NCAA with Michigan University. We are really excited to see what the future holds for him.
