Official last-minute statement from the Canadiens on David Reinbacher
This is very interesting. While the young David Reinbacher could find out today whether he's heading to Montreal or Laval, literally in the next few hours, the Canadiens have just released the following statement.
"David Reinbacher: eager to make his mark [...]
David Reinbacher reflects on the emotions he experienced signing his first NHL contract at the Canadiens' 2023 Development Camp:
I was so excited to sign my first contract in the National Hockey League. It's a small step in the right direction. In your head, you tell yourself that you've accomplished something few people have, but now you have to work to join the team and stay there. So, it was a bit of both at the same time: good emotions, but also that feeling of 'OK, it's time to get to work.'
About being welcomed as a hero upon his return home, after the Draft:
I went to visit young people in a few camps. You could immediately see that they were happy. You can make them smile just by saying hello or giving them a high five. They consider you as a role model." - Montreal Canadiens
A complete interview that we highly recommend and is at the bottom of the article.
This is especially an interview that was conducted in September but has just been published by the CH.
Is it just a coincidence?
It's up to you to judge, but let's remember that Reinbacher is literally about to get his answer on whether he will play in the NHL as early as next week:
So, the Canadiens seem to be laying the groundwork. We love it!
Stay tuned!
