In preparation for tonight's game against the Ottawa Senators, the Montreal Canadiens have announced three changes to the lineup.

Unless there is a major change, Alex Barré-Boulet, Michael Pezzetta, and Jayden Struble will be left out, while young Emil Heineman will rejoin the lineup.

«Heineman will replace Barré-Boulet. On a line with Dvorak and Kapanen. Anderson with Gallagher and Evans.» - Eric Engels

Arber Xhekaj and Justin Barron to remain in the lineup despite Jayden Struble's return

On defense, note the return of Jayden Struble to practice.

However, despite this, the third defensive pairing of Justin Barron and Arber Xhekaj remains intact for tonight's game.

«It seems that Arber Xhekaj and Justin Barron will once again be paired tonight as a duo.» - Arpon Basu

So, Struble will be left out, which is somewhat surprising if he is truly healthy again.

There's also a not-so-surprising change in goal, as Quebec native Samuel Montembeault will be back in net after his outstanding performance against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Here are the full combinations (lines and pairings):

Cole Caufield-Nick Suzuki-Juraj Slafkovsky

Alex Newhook-Kirby Dach-Joel Armia

Josh Anderson-Jake Evans-Brendan Gallagher

Emil Heineman-Christian Dvorak-Oliver Kapanen

Mike Matheson-Kaiden Guhle

Lane Hutson-David Savard

Arber Xhekaj-Justin Barron

What's your opinion on this starting lineup for Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens?

Details to follow.
