As you know, yesterday, the Montreal Canadiens organization proceeded to a special update regarding injured players, including Kirby Dach, but we had absolutely no news on the Sean Monahan file.
Will he be out for much longer? Will he be back before the trade deadline? If the latest "official" news is any indication, he should already be back in action.
Last night, TSN's Darren Dreger announced that the Montreal Canadiens will make an announcement regarding Monahan early next week.
At least, the Habs will issue an official statement regarding Monahan's injury, according to Dreger. That might answer a lot of questions, but hey, let's wait and see.
Could he return to practice by the end of the week and reassure many people?
Does this statement from Dreger mean that there will be no news by next week?
In any case, the chances of him being traded by March 3rd are getting slimmer and slimmer, unless a team wants to take a chance by offering a conditional pick on his health.
Remember that on January 6, according to the CapFriendly site, Monahan's absence was expected to last two weeks.
It doesn't take a math expert to know that time is up, and not by much.

I'll believe it when I see it." - HabsLinks
In 25 games this season, Monahan has 17 points, including six goals.
