Earlier in the evening, the Montreal Canadiens announced this.

The Canadiens have recalled forward Mitchell Stephens from the Laval Rocket.

So, a new player is joining Martin St-Louis' team.

No, it's not Joshua Roy, again. Which is causing a stir.

Bad News for Newhook?

The call-up of Stephens, a forward, clearly indicates nothing good regarding the injury suffered last night by the young Alex Newhook against the Florida Panthers.

This is also the analysis of TVA Sports journalist Renaud Lavoie.

"This obviously means that we don't expect him (Newhook) to play in tomorrow's game."

He continues:

"The fact that he couldn't put weight on his left leg (as he left the ice) is a very, very bad omen.

In the end, we find ourselves in a situation where we lose an important player again for the Canadiens. I don't know if there's a curse with this team. Anyway, at the Bell Centre, injuries have been piling up in a horrible way for a few years."
