A big rumor has just been confirmed involving the Montreal Canadiens and the Edmonton Oilers: they officially have interest in three goalies
The renowned Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reported this extremely interesting information over the last few days, and it is now officially confirmed.
The Edmonton Oilers have indeed shown interest in all three goalies of the Montreal Canadiens on the trade market.
«As Elliotte Friedman reported, the Oilers have inquired about all of Montreal's goalies. (Primeau, Allen, and Montembeault)
But the Canadiens are not going to give any of them away without asking for a high price, and they will not move until a team is ready to pay the asking price.»
- Via Eric Engels, from Sportsnet
This is very interesting and reassuring.
So it's true. There is a serious possibility that one of the three Habs goalies will be traded to Edmonton, but Kent Hughes is asking for a high price and he will not move until he gets his price.
This is definitely the right approach.
A big file to follow, as the Oilers accumulate losses due to their very shaky goaltenders.
