The Pierre-Luc Dubois file is one of the most polarizing on social media. While many would like to see him land in Montreal, others are more inclined to pass when it comes to him.
In a recent edition of Tony Marinaro's SickPodcast, journalist Andrew Paterson from Winnipeg Sports Talk made a statement that will further polarize the debate. According to him, the Quebecer played about 20% excellent games, 50% good games, and 30% bad games last season.
Paterson was also very critical of the forward's consistency. He says that Dubois can impact the game in various ways, both good and bad.
Dubois' salary demand was also part of the discussion between the two men. He would be asking for nearly $8M per year, which is more than the two local stars of the club, Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield. For eight years, both journalists think it's way too much.
It will be interesting to see what becomes of Dubois in the coming days. The fact that he asks to play in Montreal could weigh heavily...
