Over the past few days, rumors have surfaced related to the salary demands of forward Pierre-Luc Dubois, which would be around nine million dollars per season.
On this subject, yesterday, the reputable Elliotte Friedman went to the sources and he brought an important clarification on Dubois' next contract.
"A lot of people assume 8 (years) x 9 (millions), and I don't think that's wrong... there's probably some truth here but it will vary. It can be as high as Barzal who is at 9.15 and it could go as low as a Larkin who is at 8.75, it's going to be somewhere in that price range."

Dubois' next contract would therefore indeed be one of eight seasons, which could range from 8.75 to 9.15 million dollars per season.
In any case, this would confirm that the Jets forward, if everything materializes and Kent Hughes manages to acquire him, would become the highest-paid forward of the Montreal Canadiens.
Will this dampen Kent Hughes' enthusiasm, especially immediately after the signing of Cole Caufield? Stay tuned.
Dubois, 24 years old, is a 3rd overall pick in 2016. He collected 63 points in 73 games this season with the Winnipeg Jets. (27 goals)
