MAJOR: A goaltender on the verge of leaving the Canadiens via trade and it could happen today, or at the latest by the end of the month
Are the Montreal Canadiens about to finally announce a trade involving a goaltender?
It very well might be!
See what journalist Raphaël Doucet, from La Poche Bleue, just posted:
«Raph Doucet spoke to a source well informed about the goalies' situation in Montreal, and this source suggests that the end of the three-way dance is near'.»
And no, we're not talking about a waiver submission, according to the same source:
«My source expects a trade, not a waiver'. Case to follow in the coming days/weeks.» - Raphaël Doucet
Considering that Samuel Montembeault has just signed a great contract, considering that Kent Hughes has always said he did not expect to still have three goalies in his lineup by Christmas, it makes perfect sense.
So, everything points to a trade involving Jake Allen or Cayden Primeau.
If it were your decision, what would you do? Which one would you trade and at what price?
