TRADE: insider confirms that the Montreal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes are officially to watch for a trade
Pierre Lebrun mentioned earlier this week, and now TVA Sports has just relayed the information.
Clearly, there is increasing smoke around a possible trade involving a goaltender between the Montreal Canadiens and the Carolina Hurricanes.
It's worth noting that the Canes have lost the services of their starting goalie Frederik Andersen, and they are determined to replace him.
The six candidates being eyed by the Hurricanes for the goaltender position are Jake Allen, Samuel Montembeault, and Cayden Primeau (from Montreal) in addition to Ville Husso, James Reimer, and Alex Lyon. (from the Detroit Red Wings)
So, this will be an interesting case to follow over the next few days.
Which one is the most interesting, in your opinion? What would you ask for in return?
Certainly, the goaltender situation could be resolved sooner rather than later in Montreal and it's also a clear goal of Kent Hughes.
