In the last few minutes, as first reported by tipster Kevin Weekes, the Vegas Golden Knights have completed a trade with the Arizona Coyotes.
Summary of the trade:
Since Weber's contract is structured in such a way that he isn't owed a significant amount of money over the remainder of his deal, it benefits the Arizona Coyotes as they can use his cap hit to satisfy the salary cap minimum requirement. Although Weber is unlikely to return to the ice, the Golden Knights were still able to take advantage of his contract value as a means to manage their salary cap situation
