BREAKING: two players have officially been put on waivers
We've seen some NHL waivers action in the last few minutes, as two teams announced personnel moves and made players available for free.
Matt Luff and Oskar Steen on waivers
Luff, 26, is a forward for the Detroit Red Wings. For reference, he's the one who was hit from behind by Juraj Slafkovsky last year.
He reacted well, though.
Luff has accumulated 27 points in 106 NHL career games, and a solid 84 points in his last 89 AHL games. He could definitely attract interest.
Additionally, it's rare but his waiver is good news for him because it means this:
"Matt Luff was injured at training camp and hasn't played yet this season. The fact he's on waivers is a good indicator that he'll soon be cleared to play!" - Sean Shapiro
There you have it!
Finally, Steen is a 25-year-old forward for the Boston Bruins. He has 8 points in 60 NHL games, and 5 points in 5 AHL games this season.
They will know their next destination tomorrow, at 2 PM.
