It's incredible, but we have another major trade to announce.

The San Jose Sharks are trading forward Mikael Granlund and defenseman Cody Ceci to the Dallas Stars in exchange for two draft picks, including a first-round pick.

The Stars are adding some major reinforcement.

It was the excellent Kevin Weekes who first reported the news, but we were waiting for the official confirmation from both teams as well as the complete trade details.

We now have the details.

A trade involving Mikael Granlund and defenseman Cody Ceci, between the San Jose Sharks and the Dallas Stars

See here the official announcement from the Stars.

"Trade alert!

We have acquired Mikael Granlund and Cody Ceci from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a first-round pick in 2025 and a conditional third-round pick in 2025.

Welcome to Dallas, Mikael and Cody!"

- Official statement from the Dallas Stars

According to what the excellent insider Darren Dreger from TSN adds, the third-round pick in 2025 could become a fourth-round pick.

"1st and 4th which can turn into a 3rd round pick back to SJ for Ceci and Granlund."

The condition attached to the third-round pick will depend on the Stars' performance in the playoffs.

Granlund, 32, has accumulated 45 points in 52 games this season, being the Sharks' leading scorer.
