A major trade offer involving Mitch Marner, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Toronto Maple Leafs has just been revealed by TSN.

TSN has just proposed the following trade, and you can guess that it's currently a hot topic.

"What would you think about the Montreal Canadiens trading Cole Caufield to the Toronto Maple Leafs for Mitch Marner and their first-round pick in 2025?" - TSN 690

I'm not sure about this one.

Cole Caufield traded for Mitch Marner and a 1st round pick?

From a hockey standpoint, it might be interesting for Kent Hughes to go after a 100-point scorer, but I just can't see the CH trading young Caufield.

Yes, Marner appears to be on the trade block, yes, he would be an extraordinary addition to the Habs, yes, he will be expensive to acquire, but I just can't see such a transaction materializing.

Let's remember that Mitch Marner earns nearly 11 million dollars per year until 2025.

He has scored 85, 99, and 97 points over the last three seasons.

As for Cole Caufield, he is signed until 2031, at a salary of 7.85 million dollars per year.

He has scored 65, 36, and 43 points over the last three seasons.

And you, would you make this trade? Do you like the suggestion from TSN?

TO MONTREAL - Mitch Marner and a late 1st round pick

TO TORONTO - Cole Caufield
