Trade between the Canadiens and the Oilers involving Jake Allen? It has just been confirmed, Edmonton was in Los Angeles to scout him
While the Edmonton Oilers are desperately seeking a good deal to improve their situation in goal, there was again a high-profile visit in the stands today.
For the third time in a row, the Oilers have come to watch Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen play.
Their goaltenders Jack Campbell, Stuart Skinner, and Calvin Pickard aren't getting the job done, and serious rumors are linking them to the Habs and Kent Hughes.
Allen Traded to Edmonton?
Today, the Oilers are showing renewed interest in Montreal's Jake Allen, and they came to watch him in Los Angeles.
This persistence suggests that general managers Kent Hughes and Ken Holland might be engaged in discussions for a trade.
It should be mentioned that insiders do not agree on the matter. Some say there have been talks for Samuel Montembeault, others say it was for Jake Allen or Cayden Primeau, but in any case, they all agree on one point.
A CH goaltender could really be traded to the Oilers, and as of tonight, it looks like it might be more likely Allen.
Jake Allen is in net this afternoon in L.A. Once again, the Edmonton Oilers have a scout present.
A file to follow.
