Brad Marchand, a versatile forward in the NHL, has a love-and-hate relationship with fans, owing to his skill and active social media presence.
Recently, he made polarizing comments about league figures and was disciplined for his actions. The league has now imposed a fine of $5,000, the maximum allowed under the CBA, for Marchand's infraction.
Marchand is known for his rat-style antics and he lived up to his reputation by tripping Oliver Bjorkstrand during a scrum in front of the Bruins net.
While Bjorkstrand is not usually scrappy, he has been known to stand up for himself. Unfortunately for Marchand, this is not the first time he has been disciplined, having received six fines over the course of his career.
