Do you know Arber Xhekaj? This amazing defenseman caught the attention at the Montreal Canadiens' last training camp. He even received his first professional contract before returning to complete his junior internship with the Kitchener Rangers.
The 20-year-old matched his total number of points and goals from last year with 17 points, including six goals, in 18 games. Last year, he scored 17 points, but in 51 games. Quite a progression on his part!
This progression attracted the attention of other formations, including the London Knights. According to a rumor, the Ontario team would be greatly interested in its services.
London already has a good team, with 17 wins in 26 games.
If Xhekaj were to end up with the Knights, the CH supporters would be able to rejoice greatly. They could potentially see two of the team's prospects working together, as Logan Mailloux is expected to make his debut with the team this month.
A Xhekaj and Mailloux duo could do a lot of damage. Xhekaj could support Mailloux, who is only a rookie in the OHL, thanks to his experience.
