The line at the Montreal Canadiens' infirmary is starting to get very long, with a number of soldiers including Paul Byron, Joel Edmundson, Jonathan Drouin, Cédric Paquette and Josh Anderson. We can even add Christian Dvorak, who is expected to play tomorrow after a day of treatment, and Carey Price to this big lineup.

During his press conference today, Dominique Ducharme gave a nice update on his injured players. So, where to start? At the beginning, I know...

Paul Byron is still in the process of returning and all indications are that he will be back at the end of 2021. Joel Edmundson is progressing well and could be back in the lineup in about 10 days.

The most nebulous case remains Jonathan Drouin, who is currently dealing with head pain when he makes an effort. At the time of writing, there is still no mention of a concussion.

As for Cedric Paquette, the backup forward will miss at least the next 10 days.

What about Josh Anderson? He is still suffering from a virus that is not related to COVID-19!

In Price's case, Jake Allen said his counterpart was smiling, looking forward to reconnecting with his teammates, but not rushing things.

Here is Ducharme's full media availability:

Just like that, when the media were talking to the coach about Mattias Norlinder, the coach had a big smile on his face, showing that he (Norlinder) might play in Thursday's game against the Calgary Flames.
