In defeat, the players and coaches were quite clear and unanimous in the dressing room after the game. The first comments coming from Dom Ducharme spoke volumes, admitting that it was the team's first game and that no one stood out.
#CH Patrick Friolet (@PFrioletRDS) September 26, 2021
Russian defenseman Alexander Romanov was also not tender regarding himself and his teammates saying that there was absolutely nothing good about last night's game.
Romanov: Nothing good today. We can be better. Just the first game. We will be better. 100%
We tried to play a good game, but today was not our day.

The good news is that it was only a pre-season game. The Canadiens will be able to prepare for the second game of their preseason schedule tomorrow night against the Leafs.
Today, the team will hold its traditional inter group game at the Bell Centre in front of 7500 fans. Let's hope that the crowd will be good for the Habs players!
