With the scandal that hit the Anaheim Ducks and their general manager Bob Murray this week, the organization may be tempted to look elsewhere for a replacement. Recall that assistant general manager Jeff Solomon is currently the interim boss.

One of the names mentioned by Eric Stephens, a journalist who covers the Ducks, is that of Sean Burke, goalie coach and scout for the Montreal Canadiens. He has a lot of experience in the hockey world, including management, which makes him a prime candidate for the California organization.

Some believed that Marc Bergevin could have been considered for the job, due to his precarious situation with the Tricolore. However, he was not mentioned in this list.

Here is the list of candidates for the job:

Jeff Solomon (Interim GM/Anaheim)

Martin Madden Jr (Assistant GM/Anaheim)

Dave Nonis (Assistant GM/Anaheim)

Michael Futa (Advisor to the GM/Caroline)

Mike Gillis (Advisor/Players' Association)

Jeff Gorton (Analyst/NHL Network)

Kevin Weekes (Analyst/NHL Network)

Jim Rutherford
