In the last few hours, the Arizona Coyotes organization has issued a unique statement.
It's practically unheard of.
They outright announced that the team's star defenseman, Jakob Chychrun, has been scratched tonight because a trade is more than ever imminent.
Chychrun will obviously be traded in the next few hours and it will be a monster trade.
In 36 games this season, the 24 year old guard scored 28 points.
Chychrun is a first round pick, 16th overall, in the 2016 draft, and in exchange for his services, the Coyotes are asking for the equivalent of three (3) first round picks.
Thus, this will be a major trade.
Stay tuned. It's going to happen!
There's more to come:
The two teams that would be seriously in the running (to acquire Chychrun) are the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Chychrun will most likely be traded to a Canadian club.
More details to come.
