A surprising new job for Carey Price? A very interesting publication has just surfaced
In the past few minutes on The Athletic website, the excellent journalist Marc Antoine Godin, who covers the activities of the Montreal Canadiens, has published a very interesting report on goaltender Carey Price.
Godin discusses the possible future role of Carey within the organization, mentioning specifically that the Habs need a goaltending department similar to the one in the Florida Panthers.
And who would be in charge of this department? You guessed it. Carey Price.
"What if Carey Price were to head an excellent goaltending department in Montreal? On the necessity of this new structure in today's NHL and the role Price could play with the Canadiens."
- Marc Antoine Godin
Price has already expressed his desire to stay in the hockey world and win a Stanley Cup, no matter the role, and the idea is intriguing.
Could Carey, like one of his mentors Roberto Luongo, make the transition from goaltender to executive?
As Godin points out, Martin St-Louis avoids all questions about his goaltenders and seems to be putting a lot of pressure on Éric Raymond.
Following the Panthers' example, establishing a goaltending department led by Carey Price and Éric Raymond, do you like the idea? Martin St-Louis certainly wouldn't say no, and it seems to be working wonders in Florida.
In any case, it is evident that the Canadiens will want to involve Carey within the organization in one way or another, and we have a very interesting alternative here.
We highly recommend reading his article:
